Guinness Cast Iron Bottle Opener - Wall Mounted Guinness Cast Iron Bottle Opener - Wall Mounted

Reviews

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. Good addition for the Guinness lover collection. It is very good quality and very durable. I would recommend getting the "cap catcher" to go under it. My husband just loves it.

We recently purchased a homebar and decided this would be a fun way to accessorize our "pub" area. My friends had never seen anything like it before and kept saying how cool it was that they didn't have to keep asking who had the bottle opener. It's very strong and well made, and installs easily. We went ahead and bought a cap catcher to go under so we don't find bottle caps all over the place in random places the morning after! I really like this product. Great idea!

If you do a lot of entertaining, a wall-mounted bottle opener sure comes in handy. No more "where's the bottle opener?" But if you have a wall-mounted opener like this fine Guinness model, a cap catcher hanging below is a must. Amazon really should have a package with the two sold together. If you don't mind paying for two glasses and a pouring spoon, too, you can find that in the Guinness Lovers Gift Pack.

Item is actually made from cast zinc, not that it matters! Old school is indeed back in style in the kitchen.

bought this as a housewarming gift for my hubby. came in a very timely manner. it's a heavy piece also. came with mounting hardware, really needs no instructions- does just what i need it to do! looks great in the kitchen of our new house.

I bought this to strain Sazerac cocktails from one glass to another. I think it's just fine. Nothing fancy and not the heaviest gauge of metal but it works, it cleans up well, the holes are large enough to strain efficiently and it's the right size to fit into a metal or glass portion of a Boston shaker also. I am glad I bought this and now my bar implement list is complete. Of course, I need to keep well stocked on the Peychaud bitters now and keep this handy dandy gadget earning its keep!

Gee, I don't know why people were displeased with this product. The sticker, a little one, peeled off in seconds. It works fine. Maybe it isn't of the highest quality, but for the price, I think this is a great little product and certainly does the trick. It's great for home use and I recommend it highly!

The product worked well but I felt I paid to much for the quality I received.

This looks ok from the online picture, but it doesn't appear very well put together. It seems like it will do the job, but the poor construction doesn't please me, and I'm wondering if it will soon rust. I was hoping there would be an alternative offering, but I did not see one when I purchased this. I have yet to try it.

This isn't an awful julep strainer, but it's rendered useless (barring a fair amount of effort) by the huge residue-depositing sticker across its entire convex face. If you don't have a handy supply of glue remover and the willingness to take the time to use it & then clean all trace of its flavor from this strainer, I'd recommend buying something else.

A few years ago, I bought a plastic opener similar to this one and I love it. I bought this one because it look nicer and went well with my bar in our lower level. It worked great initially, but after a couple parties the inside broke and it is now useless. The plastic one I bought years ago still works. If it would have held up, I would have rated it highly.

Apparently, all of the openers broke. My friend gave them out as Christmas gifts and the only one that survived is mine. I have not used it yet. Product is defective and not worth the purchase.

Worked great for about 9 months, then broke. Glued it back together, then shattered. Might be the rate at which it was used though.... my family might drink a good bit.

I got this for a few friends before I ended up getting one as a birthday present. It is such a neat little gadget, a great conversation piece and very useful. This can be used on regular or twist-off bottle caps, sometimes you have to just push it a little slowly so it can grip the cap. A great gift.

I have been wanting one of these for sometime now. I have used it for a week now and it works great. I put a digg sticker on it just for fun.

Its ok, but a full episode of one of the better radio shows works better How about Dead Air Chicken? or the classic Poetry Slam episode from the late 90s? Great show. Thankfully its still on from 6 to 7pm on Wednesdays on 91.1 FM (WFMU) Live radio train wreck!

Funny! Or so it seems...

Anyone wanting more of the humor and creativity of Breckman's first two albums will be disappointed in Death Defying Radio Stunts. Rather than the witty folksongs we've come to love, Breckman pawns off a public radio telethon format, the low point of which occurs when listeners call in and sing 100 bottles of beer on the wall. Breckman and co-host Freeman seem amused but the skit is as tiresome as the real song. The comedy bits go down hill from there.

I can't remember if I saw this play or read it back in my high school years but have wanted to see thie release for some time. I cannot for the life of me tell you what this play was about other than showing the dramatic acting of some pretty talented people. The ending made no sense to me as I guess I was waiting for something to be resolved. Maybe it's the viewer who is the real experience they speak of??? Having just watched the movie, I don't think one bottle of beer will be quite enough.

Strange story, part of the Broadway Theater Archive Series, that brings an other-worldly atmosphere to the sterile and coldish setting of a waiting room in a city hospital, where five women have assembled to retrieve their children from a lengthy experimental procedure. The two-act play, written by Marsha Sheiness, and first produced by The Cincinnatti Playhouse In The Park in 1975, is a low-key drama with mounting tension and striking development, made almost surreal by what seems a monster lurking behind a closet door. Act Two delivers a quietly powerful punch, as if dazed and relieved by hallucinatory delirium after a slam to the head. A most rewarding and unusual play in an excellent production by the PBS 'Theater In America' series. The bizarre title is in reference to a children's rhyme.

The title for this play is taken from a little known nursery rhyme, which involves a game between mother and child. The drama opens in the elegant reception room of a clinic where five women await a first reunion with their children from who they have been separated for two months...
