I got this set for my husbands birthday and it was perfect. We have started one batch so far and are going to bottle it tonight...so soon we'll find out how well it tastes. As for the process with all products here was great. The only thing that I think that was really needed was the copper cooling coil, which is not in this kit and can be purchased in bigger more expensive kits or separately. If you live in the north and have snow...you would be able to skip the coil and just put the pan right in a big snow bank outside your house (covered of course) which was a friends suggestion but we are in a warmer location and that was not an option for us. Other then that...seems to be a perfect beginner kit...and we watched like 30 videos from youtube to see more experienced brewers techniques and kits, which seemed like we had everything they were using too (minus the coil). As for the beer flavoring kit within this...it's great for a beginner too...has everything you need already set up for you...just read.
